In 2022, after losing my mother, our family found solace in Roxie, whose extraordinary emotional intelligence brought comfort during our grief. Her ability to sense our sadness and provide unwavering support inspired Peterson Poodles, where we breed companions that bring joy, comfort, and healing to their families.
At Peterson Poodles, we are dedicated to raising dogs with Roxie’s exceptional temperament and loving spirit. Her final litter, due in December 2024, marks the culmination of her legacy of comfort and joy. As a pediatric nurse practitioner, I strive to provide families with companions that bring happiness, calm, and resilience.

My Journey with breeding:
We pour our hearts into raising poodles with gentle temperaments and loving spirits. Roxie’s final litter is expected in December 2024, after which she’ll retire from breeding, leaving a legacy of joy and connection in every family she has touched. Together as a family, we are proud to raise our poodles in a loving environment, forming lasting bonds with the families who welcome them into their lives.
When Roxie, our apricot standard poodle, joined our family, she didn’t just fit in; she became our heart. Her gentle spirit and uncanny ability to sense our emotions brought an unexpected layer of comfort and joy. In 2022, when I faced the loss of my mother, Roxie was there, offering a kind of healing and companionship that words couldn’t match. It was her quiet, intuitive presence during that painful time that inspired me to build Peterson Poodles with a mission: to raise poodles that bring the same sense of comfort, resilience, and unconditional love to others.
I’m Desiree Peterson, founder of Peterson Poodles. Growing up on a family farm in central Texas, I was surrounded by animals who taught me the values of loyalty, compassion, and the quiet strength they bring to our lives. Those early experiences shaped me profoundly and instilled a lifelong love and respect for animals—a love that eventually led me to poodles and, ultimately, to founding Peterson Poodles.
